Ahhh Benjy's

A triffle so great it elevates the humble raspberry to the very pinnacle of pleasure. More usually found as the bottom note in litterary reference the Raspberry is redeemed by this unsung and unexpected compilation of cream fruit and fingers (sponge) which has raised my day, given hope to Englands endeavours against Sweeden and given rise to the urge to revisit the blog and share it with the world.

Benjy's, an emporium of starch and stodge to sate the needs of the London mass sandwich market, has innocently produced a fabulous pudding. Poor in presentation, a cheap plastic pot, heavilly discoloured double cream and rather brown raspberries and sponge, soggy and damp with a vapid consistency. All of this contributes to the surprise in its exquisite taste. Go on. Get out, buy one, and another for tomorrow for by then the word will have spread, the simple triffle, knocked up by some ham fisted jobsworth in Slough is a triumph of the culinary art. Designed to deceive, destined to please!
